About the Journal
Turkish Music Journal is a peer-reviewed, quarterly publication in Turkish, Turkish-English (Bilingual) (effective from the September 2026 issue). For bilingual publications, the full text is presented first in Turkish, followed by its English translation. The journal’s aim is to examine Turkish music through interdisciplinary, analytical, and data-driven approaches. Its scope includes research on the theoretical, practical, and descriptive aspects of Turkish music, employing data-based methodologies in intercultural, interfaith, and international contexts (for example, the Balkans and Turkic World countries). Studies on Ottoman music are also within the scope of our journal.
Note: The translation of articles by international authors into Turkish is supported by our editorial board.
