Use of AI

The Turkish Music Journal (TM), in line with COPE ethical principles and the publication transparency criteria of international indexes (Scopus, DOAJ, etc.), adopts the following rules regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI):

  • AI can under no circumstances be listed as an author.

  • If author(s) have used AI during the manuscript process, they must clearly declare for what purpose and in which sections it was used.

  • This declaration must be provided at the end of the article under the heading “Artificial Intelligence Transparency Statement.” If AI was not used, this section is not required.

  • AI outputs are considered only as auxiliary tools; responsibility for the research and the originality of the contribution rests with the author(s).

  • False or incomplete declarations are considered ethical violations and may result in rejection of the manuscript or retraction after publication.

  • TM requires that the use of AI be conducted with full academic transparency and integrity.
