Call for Papers: Walter Feldman Special Issue

Dear Researcher in Turkish Music,

On behalf of the Turkish Music Journal, we are delighted to invite you to contribute to our special issue entitled "Walter Feldman and His Contributions to Ottoman-Turkish Music Studies," dedicated to honoring the distinguished musicologist Professor Walter Feldman, whose pioneering scholarship has made significant international contributions to Ottoman-Turkish music studies.

Professor Walter Feldman is internationally recognized for his influential research on Ottoman court music, makam theory, historical ethnomusicology, Mevlevi music, Ottoman music history, music manuscripts, and intercultural musical interactions. This special issue aims to bring together original scholarly contributions that explore and expand upon various aspects of Feldman's academic legacy.

The special issue welcomes original research articles related to Professor Feldman's fields of expertise, including, but not limited to, Ottoman-Turkish music, makam theory, musicology, ethnomusicology, historical ethnomusicology, organology, Sufi music, Mevlevi music, music history, music manuscripts, and intercultural music studies.

Researchers who wish to contribute are kindly requested to submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system. Accepted manuscripts that successfully complete the review and editorial process will be published online in Early View prior to their inclusion in the special issue.
