Complaints and Appeals Policy
Complaints and Appeals Policy
The Turkish Music Journal (TM), in line with the ethical principles of COPE – Committee on Publication Ethics, is committed to handling complaints and appeals regarding published articles in a transparent, fair, and timely manner.
Complaints must be submitted within 12 months of the article’s publication. Submissions made after this period will only be considered in exceptional cases (e.g., serious ethical violations).
Complaints are accepted only through the official communication channel: turkmuzigieditor@gmail.com
All complaints must be accompanied by supporting evidence and documentation for the claim. Applications without evidence will not be processed.
All complaints are reviewed by an independent Ethical Review Committee chaired by the Editor-in-Chief.
During the complaint process, the relevant author(s) are given the right to respond.
The final decision is communicated in writing to the complainant and, when necessary, announced publicly (e.g., correction, retraction, expression of concern).
The complaints process and decisions are carried out in accordance with COPE flowcharts and international ethical standards.
