Abstract

The article is dedicated to researching the activities of the distinguished Azerbaijani opera singer, People's Artist, professor Khuraman Gasimova in the Republic of Turkey. Mrs. Khuraman participated in the international festival held in Turkey for the first time in 1983. Kh.Gasimova, who was invited to Turkey in 1994, worked as a teacher at Istanbul University Conservatory until 1997. Mrs.Khuraman played an important role in the training of young personnel in addition to her pedagogical and acting activities in Turkey. The article examines in detail the teaching methodology of Kh.Gasimova, which is completely different from the music education taught in Turkey. The use of teaching methods based on the traditions of the European vocal school is typical for Kh.Gasimova's pedagogical activity. Mrs.Khuraman managed to reorganize the voice training program in Turkey according to professional requirements, and in the meantime, she relied on the method of gradually building the student's performance skills. Kh.Gasimova created a new teaching methodology in line with the creation of academic sound performance traditions in Turkey and gave importance to studies related to sound. The basis of its methodology is the preservation of the voice and the comfortable development of the voice of the vocal performer.
