Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is one of the ancient regions of Azerbaijan with its own unique history, culture, music folklore, and instrumental music genres. The distinctive aspects of local music folklore and the variety of types are also present in Nakhchivan and are fundamentally reflected. The music folklore of the Nakhchivan region does not only represent the regional dialect unique to the region. It is crucial to collect and process examples of music folklore, which are indicators of this rich tradition. The home-family ceremony traditions of the region are traditionally based on different music genres. The fact that these genres have their own unique styles, forms, and performances and are included in scientific and theoretical studies increases the importance of these traditions. Different folklore regions and environments have their own performance schools, unique melodic language features, and national musical instruments used in the performance of folklore. In vocal performance, performance styles, artistic forms specific to each environment, throat sounds, bells, and other instrumental performances, as well as traditional performance styles in instrumental performance, are rooted in tradition. For example, we see how diverse they are as a result of comparing wedding ceremonies, which are characteristic of the musical folklore environment of the Nakhchivan region, folklore songs performed on the eve of Nowruz, songs and dances performed by the community, and various performance forms of halays (folk dances)
