Archiving Policy
Digital Archiving and Long-Term Preservation Policy
The Turkish Music Journal (TM), in line with COPE ethical standards, DOAJ open access principles, and Scopus indexing criteria, is committed to ensuring the long-term digital preservation and accessibility of all published articles.
TM uses the LOCKSS system supported by the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. In this way, the full text of each published article is securely stored on distributed servers worldwide, guaranteeing long-term access.
LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) is a digital preservation program based at Stanford Libraries. It was developed to preserve electronic scholarly publications with high standards of reliability, flexibility, and security. Initially designed by Stanford Libraries in collaboration with industry partners for the preservation of academic journals, the system has now become a trusted mechanism for safeguarding digital content of all disciplines across distributed networks.
Thanks to LOCKSS technology, TM guarantees:
– Permanent preservation of the full texts of articles,
– Protection of the integrity of digital content,
– Continuous and uninterrupted access for researchers.
