Open Access Policy

Turkish Music Journal publishes in accordance with the open access principles defined by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). According to DOAJ, open access means that scholarly articles are freely available at the time of publication and that users may reuse the content under a specified open license (DOAJ Guide).

Within this framework:

  • The full texts of all articles published in our journal are freely and openly accessible to anyone with an internet connection.

  • No fees, subscriptions, or registration are required for access.

  • As emphasized by DOAJ, the journal does not apply embargoes; articles are accessible immediately upon publication.

  • Terms of use and copyright information are clearly stated in each article to ensure transparency.

License and Use

  • Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license.

  • Readers are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts of articles.

  • Proper attribution to the author and the work is required.

  • Commercial use and derivative works (modifications) are prohibited.

Turkish Music Journal aims to promote the free circulation of knowledge, global visibility, and academic collaboration in line with these principles.
