Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

As the corresponding author, on behalf of all authors, I hereby declare and undertake that:

the submitted manuscript is the original work of the author(s);

all authors have individually contributed to this work and accept full responsibility for it;

I am duly authorized by all authors to transfer all economic rights related to the manuscript to the Turkish Music Journal and to make the commitments stated in this form, and therefore I accept full responsibility for any disputes that may arise now or in the future;

all authors have seen and approved the final version of the submitted manuscript;

the e-mail and postal addresses of all authors are correct;

the manuscript has not been published elsewhere nor submitted for publication elsewhere;

the text, figures, and documents in the manuscript do not infringe the copyrights of third parties;

I agree and undertake to transfer the economic rights over the submitted manuscript to the Turkish Music Journal, including but not limited to the rights of processing, reproduction, performance, printing, publishing, distribution, and transmission to the public via the Internet, to be used without limitation.
However, the following intellectual property rights of the author(s) or, if applicable, the author(s)’ employer(s) remain reserved:
a) patent rights;
b) the right of the author(s) to use the entire manuscript in their future books or other works without any fee;
c) the right to reproduce the manuscript for their own purposes, provided that it is not sold.
Furthermore, the author(s) retain the right to reproduce and distribute the manuscript by mail or electronically. Use of any part of the manuscript in another publication is permitted provided that Genç Bilge Publishing is acknowledged as the publisher and proper citation is given to the Journal. The citation must include the Journal Title, Article Title, Author(s)’ First and Last Name(s), Volume Number, Issue Number, and Year.
As the corresponding author, I declare that the Editors of the Turkish Music Journal bear no responsibility for any claims or lawsuits brought by third parties due to copyright infringement, and that full responsibility lies with me as the corresponding author. I also declare that the manuscript contains no unlawful statements or elements of crime, that no illegal materials or methods were used in the research, that I have obtained all necessary legal permissions related to the study, and that I have acted in full compliance with ethical standards.
Privacy Statement
Privacy Policy
The Turkish Music Journal (TM) applies its privacy policy on its website, applications (apps), events, and publisher websites. TM assumes the primary supervisory role in the implementation of privacy policy services.

The Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform requires all authors to comply with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK / GDPR) (applicable in both Europe and Turkey) when entering information. Personal data may not under any circumstances be transferred to third parties.

TM requires a Copyright Transfer Agreement Form with the signatures of all authors during the manuscript submission process. Copyright transfer is TM’s commitment to protecting all its publications.

The purpose of using the personal data obtained from authors (limited to data related to academics such as institutional affiliations, ORCID, e-mail address, and full name) is to allow authors to log into OJS, to download their articles in open access, and to increase the visibility of the author and their work for academic recognition.

TM retains authors’ personal information only as long as it is necessary to complete any process involving them.

TM does not share authors’ personal information.

TM does not have the right to access authors’ personal information. Authors can access only their personal accounts in the OJS platform. The editorial team does not have access rights to this information; all updates must be made by the authors themselves, and in case of any issues, authors may contact TM’s technical staff.

TM’s editors and technical team take and implement all necessary measures to protect authors’ personal data from damage or misuse.

TM’s privacy policy will be updated in accordance with legal regulations.
