Privacy Policy
The Turkish Music Journal (TM) applies its privacy policy on its website, applications (apps), events, and publisher websites. TM assumes the primary supervisory role in the implementation of privacy policy services.
-
The Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform requires all authors to comply with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK / GDPR) (applicable in both Europe and Turkey) when entering information. Personal data may not under any circumstances be transferred to third parties.
-
TM requires a Copyright Transfer Agreement Form with the signatures of all authors during the manuscript submission process. Copyright transfer is TM’s commitment to protecting all its publications.
-
The purpose of using the personal data obtained from authors (limited to data related to academics such as institutional affiliations, ORCID, e-mail address, and full name) is to allow authors to log into OJS, to download their articles in open access, and to increase the visibility of the author and their work for academic recognition.
-
TM retains authors’ personal information only as long as it is necessary to complete any process involving them.
-
TM does not share authors’ personal information.
-
TM does not have the right to access authors’ personal information. Authors can access only their personal accounts in the OJS platform. The editorial team does not have access rights to this information; all updates must be made by the authors themselves, and in case of any issues, authors may contact TM’s technical staff.
-
TM’s editors and technical team take and implement all necessary measures to protect authors’ personal data from damage or misuse.
-
TM’s privacy policy will be updated in accordance with legal regulations.
